About John M. Williams
Washington Attorney John M. Williams is a personal injury lawyer who has a client focused practice. He chooses to work on a select number of cases at a time and maintain a manageable case load, so that he can provide each client with personalized, strategic, and effective legal service.
He founded Williams Law Offices, PLLC in Everett, Washington because he wanted to create a law firm in the Puget Sound area where he could give his clients the kind of quality representation that they deserve: hands-on service, access to the best resources and top injury experts, and an experienced personal injury lawyer that can achieve great results.
John brings a great deal of experience to each of his clients’ cases. Not only has he worked for both large and small law firms where he has successfully represented clients injured in nearly every kind of accident case, he has also worked as an insurance claims adjuster and has an insider’s view of insurance companies, which helps him to achieve successful outcomes for his clients.
He knows the way insurers operate and is familiar with the tactics they can apply to reject, delay, or minimize your financial recovery. He also knows what to do to combat these bad faith attempts, and he will use his knowledge of the insurance industry to maximize your compensation and protect your rights.
John truly enjoys helping his clients work through this process, from recovery to resolution. He only represents people whom he believes he can help, and his excellent track record of successful outcomes allows him to give each case—whether a smaller case or a multi-million dollar case—the full attention and resources it needs. He knows that complete preparedness and effective strategies are essential to obtaining a fair and reasonable result for his clients.
If there ever was a day when insurance companies offered reasonable settlements, that day is now clearly gone. Insurance companies have always been focused on their bottom line, but more and more insurance companies have decided to increase their revenue by taking in premiums, while attempting to just pay out cents on each premium dollar received. Their focus is certainly not on fairness or what is reasonable, their focus is solely on the bottom line. Because of this, John knows that the only way to successfully resolve a case, is to be prepared and aggressive, while having the will to win and the strength to endure.
He is well-respected by his peers, as well as by the claims adjusters and defense attorneys that he goes up against, for his professionalism, integrity, and successful case outcomes. Many of John’s clients come to him because of the word-of-mouth recommendations of his very satisfied current and former injury clients.
John earned his JD from University of Toledo College of Law in Ohio and his BA in Political Science from Miami University. He will point out that Miami University is in Ohio, and the University of Miami, is in Florida. Miami University has consistently been in the top 10 of major public universities nationwide for its graduation rate and always in the top 100 of major universities nationwide, public or private.
He also has a military record of serving his country as a Communications Technician for the United States Coast Guard. John was stationed on the USCGC Ute in Key West, Florida which was primarily tasked with surface law enforcement missions, mostly drug interdiction.
John is licensed to practice law in Washington and Ohio, but maintains an inactive status for his Ohio license. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. John is a member of the Washington State Association For Justice and the Washington State Bar Association.

John’s law practice is a major part of his life, but as he points out, the most important aspect of his life is his family. He resides in Snohomish with his wife Jamie, and two sons, Max, age 5, and Ty, age 3. If you ask him about hobbies, he is likely to tell you that his sons are his hobby, and on some days, another full time job.
